Nasal Surgery (Rhinoplasty)
A nose surgery, or rhinoplasty, can improve the proportions of your nose to create more harmonious facial features. People commonly seek rhinoplasty to correct nasal humps, a larger or bulbous nasal tip, or a wide base to the nose.
Rhinoplasty is usually performed under general anesthesia in an accredited ambulatory surgery center. Incisions are well-hidden inside the nose and/or across the narrow strip of skin between the nostrils. The steps taken during rhinoplasty are customized to each individual’s needs. Discomfort following a rhinoplasty is generally limited to a stuffy nose or a temporary, mild headache. A supportive nasal splint is typically worn for approximately 5 to 7 days.
