How does SmartLipo™ work?

SmartLipo™ laser lipolysis uses a tiny cannula (1-2 mm wide) that contains a laser fiber and delivers laser energy to fat cells. The laser energy causes fat cells to liquefy, making them easy to remove with minimal trauma to the patient’s tissues. Laser energy is also delivered to the skin, which causes collagen to tighten and the skin to firm and match the body’s new contour.

What are the advantages of SmartLipo™?

SmartLipo™ can be performed under local anesthesia, which simplifies recovery for the patient and substantially improves the safety of the procedure. In addition, because the SmartLipo™ laser naturally seals blood vessels, the patient experiences less swelling, bleeding, and bruising — and a quicker recovery time. Lastly, SmartLipo™ is minimally invasive. If you undergo SmartLipo™ laser lipolysis at our Sarasota or Bradenton office, you can expect to return to work within two days of the procedure.

How long does it take to see the results of laser lipolysis?

In most cases, only one SmartLipo™ treatment session is necessary to achieve dramatic, lasting results. Each session lasts 45 minutes to an hour. Following treatment, patients typically experience minimal bruising and swelling which will resolve within a couple of weeks, revealing your new body.
