Zeltiq CoolSculpting™ Liposuction Alternative

Zeltiq CoolSculpting™ can help to eliminate small pockets of excess fat in specific body areas. With Zeltiq CoolSculpting™ , there is no cutting, no needles, and no anesthesia involved. Treatment can be performed relatively quickly, and there is no recovery time required. Many patients experience effective results after only one treatment with Zeltiq CoolSculpting™. The procedure is designed for patients who are in reasonably good physical shape, but are having difficulty getting rid of small areas of fat in certain body regions. Zeltiq CoolSculpting™ can be a useful alternative for patients who do not wish to undergo invasive surgery, and for those who may not require a full liposuction procedure to meet their goals.

The Zeltiq CoolSculpting™ Procedure

Using Cryolypolisis™ (a method of cooling excess fat cells), Zeltiq CoolSculpting™ breaks down extra fat by way of a small, vacuum-like applicator placed over the treatment areas. The excess fat cells are cooled by the device, which ultimately causes an inflammatory response. After they start to break down, the fat cells are filtered out naturally through the liver. Patients often see the best results about two to four months following the Zeltiq CoolSculpting™ procedure.

Since Zeltiq CoolSculpting™ is a non-invasive procedure, no excessive recovery time is typically necessary. There is usually some redness present in the treatment areas after the procedure; however, this is temporary and should quickly fade. Most patients who undergo Zeltiq CoolSculpting™ are able to resume normal daily activities right after treatment.
