I came to the Plastic Surgery Center after seeing a friend who had a similar procedure. The procedure that I chose was a lower face and neck lift. I had for many years probably the last 10 been very dissatisfied with the appearance of my neck specifically and so this friend had the same procedure and I saw her immediately thereafter within probably five days of her surgery and I was so impressed, I accompanied her to her next appointment so that I could meet Dr. Leikensohn and then talked to him about what would be involved in a similar procedure for me and was very impressed with what he said as well as what I saw and what he demonstrated on my face that could be done, so I could not wait to come back and have surgery.

I think one of the greatest benefits that I have derived from this surgery has been positive reinforcements from friends. Both friends, that knew that I have had this surgery and friends that did not know, they have told me that you look great, you look the same, you just look as though someone has erased 15 years. My husband has been supportive although he was not, he did not feel that I really needed the surgery to start with. He was the first to say, “Gosh, you know you look exactly the way you did 10 or 15 years ago, it is incredible”. The wonderful part about this is it has only been three weeks since I have had my surgery and after only one week I went back to work full time. During the first week, I was amazed at how small amount of bruising that I had in the areas of any of the incisions and the swelling was also very, very minimal. Within three days of my surgery, I was out in public and within a week I went out to dinner with my friends and they really did not notice that I had had anything done, so the recovery time was incredibly short and I felt wonderful benefits of having a skilled team do a surgery such as facial surgery.

I knew I wanted to have the breast augmentation. I was a little unsure of the size. I knew roughly what I wanted. I wanted to look very proportionate and natural. I left a lot of that up to Dr. Scott. I did look through web site pictures, I looked through some of the books the photo books that he had in the office. My confidence level was pretty low. I lost a lot of breast volume after breast feeding my two children and I just never felt comfortable in my own skin at that point. I did not look right in clothing and was terrified to go to the beach and wear bathing suit.

After the procedure, my confidence level was way beyond what I thought it would be. I had a lot of fun trying on all the clothes that I had and buying new clothes, very comfortable going to the beach now. I feel very comfortable in my skin, very proud of who I am and what I look like. Dr. Scott was very welcoming from the very beginning. I had gone to a consultation about a year before the procedure and I thought like I was rushed through and nobody was really listening to what I was saying or what I wanted. Dr. Scott seemed to take an interest on why I wanted the procedure and he made it realistic, obviously wanted me to look normal and healthy and he from the very beginning was just extremely supportive and had a wonderful bedside manner. He can joke around if you are nervous and calm you and put you at ease and just seemed very concerned about how you are overall, your overall well being, not just what he contributed.

Different parts of the body take different amounts of time for those hairs to fall out after the treatment. We do not recommend that patients try to tweeze or wax out the hairs. During the treatment unlike electrolysis we ask that patients do not mess with the hair because it has been damaged all the way down therefore making it brittle. If you try to tweeze that out you could break it off and end up causing a bad irritation or infection. We want the body to naturally exfoliate those hair follicles out and they could take anywhere from 5 to 7 days to two weeks depending on where on the body.
